Urmeneta Carmenere
The oldest winery in Chile -In 1860, Mr Jose Tomas Urmeneta, an explorer and visionary man, sensed the enormous
potential of the fertility of Chilean soil. Guided by his inspiration, he brought some of the most
noble French varieties to Chile and founded Vina Urmeneta.
Nestled between the Andes mountain range and the Pacific coast. Its sandy-clay soil
is irrigated by thaw waters, which favour good drainage and provide many minerals. Today,
the Urmeneta brand is present throughout Chile and in more than 38 countries around the world.
Intense violet in colour, with spiced aromas of green peppers and some tobacco, alongside red and black fruit notes.
A gentle, velvety wine on the palate with a medium body, tannins and a very pleasant finish
